Alexander Plumbing & Remodeling is seeking a reliable and detail-oriented Shop Manager to support our growing installation and service team. This role is essential to keeping our field technicians equipped, organized, and ready to complete jobs efficiently without unnecessary delays.

The Shop Manager will be responsible for staging materials for upcoming plumbing and remodeling projects, maintaining shop inventory levels, and ensuring that all parts and equipment needed for scheduled work are readily available for technicians each day.

Key Responsibilities

• Review upcoming scheduled jobs and associated parts lists

• Locate required materials within the shop and stage them for each job

• Organize and label job-specific materials in bins for technician pickup

• Ensure all staged materials are easily accessible for technicians prior to dispatch

• Communicate with technicians regarding staged materials (including photos or shop location when needed)

• Maintain proper inventory levels of plumbing and remodeling materials

• Conduct regular inventory checks and restock commonly used parts

• Perform supply runs to vendors or warehouses to replenish stock

• Deliver materials to active job sites when additional parts are needed to avoid work stoppage

• Receive and organize incoming inventory shipments

• Keep shop clean, organized, and operational at all times

Daily Tasks May Include

• Reviewing the daily and upcoming job schedule

• Preparing and staging parts for installations and service calls

• Coordinating with technicians to ensure job readiness

• Responding to field requests for additional materials

• Delivering emergency parts to job sites as needed

• Picking up supplies from local vendors

• Restocking shelves and updating inventory levels

• Maintaining a safe and efficient shop environment

Qualifications

• Strong organizational skills and attention to detail

• Ability to read and interpret parts lists and job materials

• Basic knowledge of plumbing materials and tools preferred

• Valid driver’s license with clean driving record

• Ability to lift and transport materials and equipment

• Self-motivated with the ability to work independently

• Strong communication skills and team-oriented mindset

Compensation & Performance

• Starting pay of $20 per hour during a 90-day probationary period

• Pay increases will be evaluated frequently based on performance

Performance will be measured based on:

• Accuracy in identifying and staging the correct materials for scheduled jobs

• Ability to build out and organize job-specific parts lists from provided instructions

• Efficiency and speed in preparing materials for technician pickup

• Ability to respond quickly to field requests and prevent jobsite delays
